Our Quiet Christmas

As you can see I love Christmas cards. I will be scanning them and uploading them this week as they are still decorating our Christmas tree. I love to see all the pictures of my friends and family and see how people have changed throughout the year. In some cases this is the only time we get to update eachother on our lives since we are so busy.

Well Sadie slept in so err go I slept in! Yay for me. She finally woke up around 7:30am and I went and got her, changed her and fed her in the bedroom because Steve was setting up everything in the living room.

Let me first say that wrapping paper for kids is a catch 22. At least in our house. Sadie LOVES paper but we keep it away from her so she won't eat it. Well here comes Christmas morning and now she's allowed to play with paper? Needless to say she was a bit confused and wouldn't open her gifts. She did like the Disney Princesses paper that Grandma & Grandpa Eastlick wrapped one of the presents in. And man if you could have seen her face when I ripped the paper...Needless to say I now know what look Steve is talking about when I give him the looks can kill look. I don't want to say she was almost in tears but man she was not happy. So I unwrapped her presents and then she played with them. Here are a few pictures.

Santa brought Sadie the entire Disney's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cast for Christmas. She LOVED them. Also he left her a Super Sleuth Tigger in her stocking to go with her Super Sleuth Pooh Bear and Darby dolls.

This look kind of resembles the look I got when I ripped the Princess paper. But this is not as bad. HA!

By this time she was starting to get tired and ready for her morning nap. But we weren't finished with the presents yet. At least we weren't finished with the Mommy & Daddy presents.

Kimmi got her a cute book (which she is really into books right now) and a sweater vest. She also got a couple of books from Santa. He got a really good deal on them and he left the price tags on for proof. HA!

By this time it was getting ugly and she was ready for a nap.

This is the face of a tired and cranky girl. I had put on Charlie Brown's Christmas while Steve was cooking breakfast but alas she didn't make it to Breakfast.

So after a power nap she was ready for a snack. Steve and I got a Beligan Waffle maker for Christmas. You know the one that turns over. It's really nice and we got a great deal on it. Sadie LOVES waffles so we thought it was a good investment as well as a splurge. So Steve made us waffles for breakfast. Here are a few pictures of Sadie with her 1/4 of a waffle. She ate it up. She loved it. We will be having lots of waffles from now on I'm sure.

Here is Sadie trying to call the Grandparents. We don't have long distance on our phone but both Grandparents called us and she loves to talk through the speaker phone to them. She always tries to figure out where they are at.

Time for a Cheerio break. We call the O's and she LOVES them.

Here is Sadie playing on her new push/ride Lion. Grandma & Grandpa Eastlick got it for her and she loves it. If you push on the Lions nose he laughs and then plays music.

She even knew how to get off the lion too. She didn't even fall. She's ready to go horseback riding at Papa Facey's house this summer!

This is a tired girl. Needless to say she went to bed after this picture.

Daddy and Sadie. Don't you love her devil horns. That's what Steve calls them. We now put her hair in pigtails cuz it keeps it from her eyes. This was after a nap though and the pigtails came out.

We hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas. I'm so truly thankful for my family and friends. I know that our Lord and Saviour was born to help me and you. It truly is a special time of year and I hope you felt that spirit.
