Halloween

The Wednesday before Halloween was our Church's Trunk or Treat.  I didn't get any pictures of that.  I know shocking!  Sadie had a great time though.

On Halloween we dressed up and went down the street to our friends house.  Sadie was Cinderella and Nina was Snow White while Susie was the Poisoned Apple.

Even Nina's Grandma Beth got into the Halloween Spirit and dressed up as Dobby from Harry Potter.  Nina was too scared but Sadie LOVES Grandma Beth so she braved getting a picture.

The funniest thing about the night was Sadie.  After every stop she'd yell "look mom I got candy"  and yes I mean EVERY door.  haha.
I love these girls.  They were so funny coaching eachother at the door.  "ok that's enough knocking Sadie"  "remember to say trick or treat Nina".  They make every outing an adventure that is for sure!

PreSchool Heads to the Pumpkin Patch

We started Sadie in a co-op preschool this year.  There are 6 kids and the parents switch off on having the preschool at their house each week.

In October we decided to have a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  The kids really enjoyed themselves.

Here they are studying the pond that is fenced.  Personally I think they were trying to figure out how to get on the other side of the fence.

Here they were studying the bottoms of the pumpkins.  Another favorite were the bumps on the outside of the pumpkins.  They reminded me of warts.

Here they are getting ready for a little class about pumpkins.

After the class we took the kids through the corn maze.  Afterward Sadie told Steve that it was kind of scary because she couldn't find her way out.  "All it was was tall corn Daddy"

Halloween at C.A.L.M.

C.A.L.M. is a small zoo in Bakersfield.  We have annual passes and the girls love to go out there and feed the goats and see the animals.  Well this year they had a Halloween themed event that we decided to attend.

The girls dressed up and we headed out with the Fieldsted Family.  It was pretty warm but the girls enjoyed themselves.  They had little games throughout the zoo for the kids to play and get treats or prizes.

Nina is Snow White and her baby sister Susie is a Poisoned Apple.  They are the cutest!

And it wouldn't be a trip to CALM without visiting the petting area.

I absolutely love this picture.  It is by far a favorite of mine.  Love these girlies!

Usually when we visit CALM it's during the week so the train isn't running.  But today it was up and going for the event.  Sadie and Nina both LOVE trains.

We're Pregnant!!

In my previous post I mentioned that we were scheduled to do a frozen transfer on August 5th.  Well I ovulated which made us have to start over.  It was a good thing though.  Heavenly Father knew I couldn't handle Sadie's surgery and have to stay in bed with the transfer.

So once we started over again our new date was September 2, 2011.  My good friend Emi (my lifesaver) watched Sadie for us for a couple of days and Steve and I headed down to Thousand Oaks for the procedure.

Here are the two embryos they transferred.

Here we are in the Hotel after the procedure. I told Steve I wanted to document it.  We stayed in the hotel for two nights and then went home.  Steve had the whole next week off work so he got to entertain Sadie.  They went to Griffith Park and rode the ponies (Sadie not Steve) and went to Disneyland two days.

We had our blood test and they came back positive.  I spoke with my doctor and he's response was pregnant with one possibly two.  WHAT?!

So we went down on the 27th of September for our first peek.  Well sure enough there were two.  The problem was one of the babies was really smaller.  So our Doctor said don't get your hopes up.  Plan on one baby.  So he didn't give us an ultrasound picture with the second baby in it.  No problem it's still early (even though we could see the heartbeat)

Ultrasound - 6 weeks 5 days

We went down on the 7th of October for another ultrasound and sure enough the second baby had more than doubled in size and had a strong heart beat.  But our doctor was still very cautious and didn't want to say definitely twins yet.  But you can see the second baby kind of in this ultrasound picture.  Our Doctor was very surprised it was still there.

Ultrasound - 8 weeks

So on the 19th of October (our last visit with our fertility doctor) we went down for another ultrasound and sure enough the second baby had caught up to the 1st baby. The only concern was the sack wasn't as big as the other baby but the heartbeats matched and the babies measured within 3 days of each other.  So our doctor was happy to say yes you are pregnant with twins.

Ultrasound - 9 weeks 6 days

So it's official...we are pregnant with twins!!  Our due date is May 20th 2012.

We are super excited and none more than Sadie.  She is ready to have her babies here and can't wait to be the best big sister ever!!

Tragedy Strikes

I have lost all my photos. I'm completely devastated. I was working on photos when I forgot my harddrive was plugged in and stood up with my laptop. Needless to say my hard drive is shot.

We contacted a recovery service and it'll cost between $695 - $1200 to get my photos back if they even can retrieve them.

So I will be skipping a few months of photos. The events that I missed I'll try and verbally paint a picture of what happened.
