Preschool 2011

Here are some random photos of Sadie and her preschool antics.  This girl LOVES to learn and it makes me so happy.

I taught this week about the letter H so we decided to learn about the Human body.  Steve helped me by tracing Sadie's body and then I labeled different parts of the human body that started with H on the poster.  Like Hair, Hands, Hips, and Heart.  The kids had a great time.

CALM Lights

We met up with our friends the Fieldsted family at CALM to see the beautiful Christmas lights.  Sadie was so excited when we pulled into the parking lot.  There were so many lights she didn't know which way to look.

They had a carousel set up in the entrance of the zoo and Sadie LOVED it.  It wasn't your typical carousel it was a very fast moving carousel which added to the girls excitement.

I love this picture because it shows just what kind of relationship these girls have.  They truly are best friends and I love that.

We walked around the entire zoo and everything was decked out with lights.  It was amazing.  It is definitely a new family tradition...even though it was rather cold.

Here is Susie Q waiting in line with Emi for the train.

Nina and Sadie waiting anxiously for their turn on the train to see the lights.

The Fieldsted Family

Steve and I on the train.

Sadie on the train extremely excited to get going.

We stopped by the Chevron exhibit so we could get a picture.  You think they could get any further away from eachother?  haha.

Daddy's Stay-cation

Steve got to take some much deserved time off during the Holidays.  So he and Sadie started a project.  A routing table.  Sadie LOVED helping Steve.

Sadie even got to keep a spare piece of wood for her very own.

It was such beautiful weather that we spent most of our time outside helping or watching Daddy work.  Sadie practiced her scooter skills and also spent her time with her sidewalk chalk drawing pictures.  It was a great way to relax and spend time together as a family.

Christmas 2011

Christmas was nice and quiet this year.  Sadie's last being the only child.  It took forever to get through the presents because Sadie kept going back to her Santa gift...the doll house.

Sadie got lots of fun games, school workbooks and many more things including this cash register which she kept calling a "castrator" haha.

She also got some tinker toys.  Steve made them into a guitar and microphone.  She had a blast pretending to be a rockstar.  She sang along with anything and everything.

Another Eye Surgery for Sadie

Sadie's eye starting to get infected due to a stitch from her surgery so we had to go down and do an emergency surgery to remove the stitch before it got worse.

This time they gave her a Doctor Teddy Bear.

We had a LONG wait.  but she was a good sport.  She played with Steve's tablet and when the batteries ran out she played with her princesses.

Luckily this time she didn't have to go fully under and so there were no iv's and the recovery was minimal.

Sadie's Haircut

Well it's time for Sadie to get that mass of hair under control!  So we took some before pictures and headed to Carianne's for a visit.

Sadie was a little nervous but then she realized that it wouldn't hurt.  She said "I like to get my haircut it tickles."

Sadie's after pictures...

Bareback Riding

After playing in the snow we went and visited with Gma Aileen and Sadie got to go bareback riding for the first time.
Even though Gma was leading the horse she was still very excited.  Have I mentioned this girl LOVES horses?

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow: Part II

On the way down the mountain we found a little spot we could "sled" and make snow angels.
Sadie trying to make a snow angel.  The snow had a frozen crust so she couldn't really make a good angel.
So on to the next adventure...
Sledding on Alyssa's snowboard.
Here is Sadie following Alyssa up the small hill.

3-2-1 blast off!!
"WHOA"  haha.  She was laughing the whole time.
Sadie thought better than to go down again without someone.
Who else better to volunteer than Alyssa?!

Then Daddy got into the action.
Secretly I just think he wanted to push her down the hill.  haha.

She enjoyed it until the end.  No one caught her so she went straight into a bush.  Although she thought this was hysterical and was one of the highlights of the trip.
"Daddy pushed me into a bush"
She then went exploring on her own.  Up a hill and she made her own path down with her bum.
Snowballs were fun for all involved as well.
Here is Steve getting ready for another round with Alyssa.
Aunt Karina taking it all in at a semi-safe distance.
Because really is there any safe place when snowballs are concerned?  I think not!  Unless you have a camera and are pregnant with twins.  I actually became home base.
