Sadie and Papa's Rabbit

Before we left to go home we went up to Papa's house to say goodbye and Sadie got to hold the rabbit.  She was very excited about this.  I think this is the first FFA or 4H project we might do with her.  She loved it.

Our Cowgirl

Sadie got to go to Gma and Gpa Hildebrand's house and go horseback riding.
This is the first time she's been on a full size horse.  All the times she's gone horseback riding in the past it's been on ponies.  She loved every minute of this.

Target Practice

One of the things that both Steve and I wanted to do while we were in Etna was to go shooting.  So one morning Steve and I went for a drive and found the perfect spot.
The log is actually not the target but there are a lot of cans on the log and on the ground in front of the log.
I got to shoot the hand gun this time.  I was a pretty good shot but much better with the rifle.  This stance is kind of a joke.  We watch Top Shot on A&E and one of the contestants last season stood like this before he shot each time.  (It actually did help)

I love shooting.  We had such a great time.  It was the perfect morning and the perfect company.

Pine Cone Collecting

We went up French Creek to do some pinecone hunting.  We wanted to find large pinecones so we could bring them home to make bird feeders.  Here are some of the pictures of our adventure.

Etna Ward Reunion 2011

Let me first start off by thanking Beth Lee who was largely responsible for this wonderful event.

Secondly let me say there were so many pictures I had a hard time deciding which pictures to use on my blog.  I have more on my facebook page though so go there for more pictures.

Thirdly let me say I knew a lot of the people who came but I didn't know a lot either so I will not embarass myself and try to name everyone.  Please enjoy the photos...

I will make a comment for the picture below.  These are the graduates of Etna High School in 1994.
boys:  Tom, Brandon, Jason, Bryan and Josh
girls: Kristy, Tammy, and Aimee
It was so nice to see everyone and catch up.  (Especially since our class did not have a 10 year reunion)
 My Aunt Jeneva and Sadie

Me, Sadie and Aunt Jeneva
Just a portion of the line for the famous potluck.  Yep no one can hold a candle to the Etna Ward's potlucks.  And I mean that.  There was so much food and people were going back for thirds and fourths...it was like the food kept reemerging.  (I won't reference the Harry Potter books, but yeah kinda like that.)

Of course it wouldn't be a Church event without music.  Here Mary Hiett is playing the piano while we all do head shoulders knees and toes.  The funny thing was it spontaneously turned into a multi lingual song with all the missionaries in the crowd.  There was English, Finnish, Spanish, Mandrain and German.

And of course when you think of Etna and music I automatically think of the McBroom Family.  Yep they were there and playing for us all to dance too.  It was so much fun.  It brought back many warm memories.
