Our Sunny Sunday

Sunday was Beautiful! The sun came out and so we took advantage of it. Aunt Jill-bee sent Sadie one of the most adorable outfits I've seen when she was a baby, and it fits now. So I got Sadie all dressed up and we went outside for some much deserved and needed sunshine.

Here are some of those pictures. Oh and by the way I have a new software program that is awesome. I'm so very excited with the looks I can achieve now. So bear with me for a while, I will be playing with these looks for a while.

Sadie recently started this. She will grab the ends of her shirt or skirt (if she's wearing one) and hold them like she is twirling around. I blame Cinderella for this cuteness. She believes she is dancing while she runs. It's really cute!

It's Her World and We are Just Visiting

Here are a couple pictures of our "rest time" which usually ends up in a 30-45 min power nap.

One of Sadie's favorite sayings right now is "look at me" and I usually have to respond "yes look at you getting in trouble" This was one of those times.
Too cute not to put in. We walked down to the mailbox the other morning after a bath so her hair was still wet. And as she was just getting over a bad cough I made her wear one of my hats that Steve made. She loved it. What you can't tell in the picture is the top is sticking up a long way...so her head doesn't actually fit in my hat. That would be scary!!
The Crazy Hair Styles of Sadie

So guess who is into dictating her hair these days. Yep you guessed it! Our Princess.
In both of these styles she "HAD" to have all those clips and hair ties in her hair.

Primary Crafts

We just started music time in Nursery. So to add more fun I made paper sun cut outs so the kids can be the sun.

I also made some tamborines/braclets. I took pipe cleaner and strung jingle bells on them. The kids loved them. They either wear them or just shake them...either way it's a lot of fun.
I saw this fabulous idea online, here.
But this is Bo and Belle Bopsy. Belle loves to choose the songs and Bo loves to choose how they sing them. If you squeeze the side of the head their mouth opens and there are slips of paper inside with the name of the song, and the way the kids will sing it.

I just got google eyes from the dollar store and tennis balls from Target. I had yarn for the hair. I cut a line in the tennis ball (careful it popped and scared me a little) I glued the eyes and the hair on with a glue gun. Then I drew a mouth. I took a few extra pipe cleaners and made sort of a stand for the balls to sit in so they wouldn't roll away.
I put them both in a box and introduced them as my friends who were going to help us sing today. The reaction was immediate. They loved them. It even got Sr. Primary's interest. I even had children come up to me after Church and ask to see them again.

I hope you can have fun with this idea. I certainly did. And it was totally worth the reactions the children gave. Happy Singing!

Sadie's Craft Time

So I've started Sadie with crafts. Either she "helps" me with my stuff for Sunday (me working, her coloring) or we actually do a craft together.
Today I was working on Sun cut outs for the nursery kids at Church. So while I was cutting she was coloring. She really wanted to help cut...but that's going to another project altogether.
I had gotten these fun Star shaped sunglasses for Sadie's party. Well she decided that we needed to "dress up" for craft time. (oh yes, can you see the Mickey Mouse ears on my head? It was a must accessory.)

Then after craft time I found her here. Eating her lunch and watching a show. Some of the things she does just kills me. She's just too funny. Obivously she wasn't tall enough on the bed so she got her step stool so she could be six inches taller. haha.

Disneyland

Sadie and I decided to head down to Disneyland. It was a good plan, until we got there and realized everyone else had the same thought. haha!
We had a great time though and Sadie did great. It was a long day. We decided to stay until after the parade. So we didn't leave the park until 8:30 pm. But it was worth it.
Here is Sadie looking at the map of California Adventure to map out her morning.

First stop was at the Playhouse Disney show
It had been over a year since she'd seen this...so she was enthralled. She danced and clapped.
Here is a small video of Sadie getting warmed up for the show. As you can hear and see she was super excited. And loved watching the other kids jumping and clapping too.

Next up was the Brother Bear Camp. She loved playing on the rocks but wouldn't have anything to do with the slide.

We stopped and visited with Mater and Lighting. (Sadie loves the little Mater short cartoons on Disney. Her favorite thing is to hear him say "If I'm Lying I'm Cryin")

We were greeted by Pluto when we came in the gate to Disneyland.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Sadie REALLY loved the Carousel horses this time. If you remember our last visit she wanted nothing to do with them. But she liked them so much we ended up going on them twice.

We were going to try and go to the Winnie the Pooh ride but there were so many people because of the "construction" that we stopped. After funny enough after we stopped The Frog Princess and her entrouage came and did a street show for us. Sadie LOVED it. She LOVED the music. We haven't seen the movie yet but I'm sure it will be one she will NEED. haha.

Cinderella's Castle

Sadie and Dumbo
Sadie LOVED the tea cup!

Then we went and toured Sleeping Beauty's part of the Castle

We headed to the second star on the right and ended up in Pixie Hollow.

Before we headed home we got comfy in our pj's. Needless to say Sadie didn't last too long into Cinderella before she was OUT!
