Really? Really, Really?

For those who don't watch Saturday Night Live that's a line from a skit that they did a few years back about Michael Vick. It's really funny and you can find it on youtube.

But this is where I am at today. Seriously I need a really good dose of the Glad Game.

So I am going to attempt to change my mood because no one else can change it for me!

1. I am so glad that I have a husband who sees when I'm about to do a meltdown and takes over. (not having a great mommy moment the past couple of days)
2. I love it that my daughter laughs and dances at a drop of a hat. And I ABSOLUTELY love her laugh. It's a cross between a deep laugh and the mad scientist laugh.
3. You know what makes me happy? Finding an unused $10 McDonald's gift card in my drawer after being chewed out for no reason by a co-worker.
4. I am so glad that I am starting my own business. It's taking a bit more work than I thought it would but it will be worth it in the end if I don't have to come to this office and I can stay home with Sadie.
5. I love that my daughter put on her sunglasses last night (in the dark) and played the piano and sang. But we had our own little Elton John concert last night.

I'll post pictures from this weekend soon. Just haven't had time yet!

Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 12, 2009
This morning Sadie and I got ready for Church and then went outside and we took turns getting our pictures taken. Then it was off to Church.

She did alright. We spent most of Sacrament in the hallway and I even had to go into a classroom so that she wouldn't disturb anyone. We are slowly getting better though. She is now folding her arms all by herself when we pray. After Church we headed home so she could get a good nap in before we headed down to the Olson's for Easter lunch and an egg hunt.
We had a fabulous ham, potato casserole, green salad, and a homemade concoction of Gin's. It was really good. We thought ahead this time and brought Sadie's high chair which was really nice. We were able to sit at the table and have a lovely meal without having to worry about what Sadie was getting into.
After lunch Steve and Andy went out front and hid the eggs. We did do an Easter basket for Sadie but we didn't hid it this year. Next year we will though. We used the same basket she got last year from Grandma Eastlick. She got a chocolate bunny (which no one has eaten yet), peeps, bubbles, Primary music on CD (Children's Song book), & plastic golf balls.
Steve filled the plastic eggs with yogurt covered raisins. So he and Andy hid those as well. Sadie was funny when she found those she'd just shake them.

Unfortunately eggs were not the only thing broken this fine Easter afternoon. While hunting eggs Sadie took a tumble and reinjured her lip.

That put an end to hunting eggs. But about 20 minutes later she was doing better and started playing again.

I hope that you and your families were able to enjoy this Holiday. I am so truly grateful for our Savior's Sacrifice on our behalf. I cannot comprehend what he went through for each and every one of us. All I do know is that I will be eternally grateful to him. I'm so very grateful for the knowledge that I have that we will live again and we can live with our Heavenly Father and Brother Jesus Christ if we just repent and do those things which he commands us. I am so very grateful to know that I will be able to see my family again. Especially my Gram, whom I miss dearly on a daily basis but I know she is with me and we will be together again. I am so very grateful for friends and family who love and support me and my family on a daily basis. From our Family to yours, Happy Easter!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Saturday, April 11, 2009

This year Sadie was old enough to "help" with coloring the eggs. She was really funny about it. I'm sure like all toddlers, all she wanted to do was stick her hands in the dye. But we were able to keep that from happening. She did however enjoy writing on the eggs.

Steve mainly took care of coloring all the eggs while I took photos and helped with Sadie. The day was really overcast from the previous night's rain storm and the wind was blowing pretty good. That's why half way through you'll notice we put a sweater and hat on her. She did really good in the hat which I was surprised.

We video taped the whole thing but Steve is going to have to put them on the website after he edits them.

Sadie loved chewing on the wax crayon.

"Hmm, do I want to write on another egg or just eat the crayon?"

Writing on one of her eggs. I'll have you know she wrote with both her right and left hands. She still hasn't figured out if she's right handed or left handed.
"It's just a bit too cold outside. Now I'm toasty warm!"
*Side Note* I actually used this picture of Steve for my photography class assignment and my teacher loved it. I got high praise. Steve on the other hand was not thrilled I took the picture let alone that I used it for class. When I got home from my class on Tuesday night I told him what the teacher said that the picture was blown up and a huge projector screen.

Photo Assignments

Here is just a glimpse into some of the photos I needed to get for this week's assignments. I had a really fun time out on the bluffs at 9pm taking night shots and I think I got some good ones. The day I took the pictures of the Bell tower it was just going to start raining so I had some lovely black clouds in the background to add a little contrast. If you'd like to see more take a look at my photography blog.

Easter Dress Photo Shoot

April 4, 2009
Here are some pictures from our Easter Dress Photo Shoot. Sadie & I went down to our friend's house and I took Atley's pictures and Sadie's pictures in their Easter dresses. They both did really well, as for the photographer, well I'm still learning and most of Sadie's shots are darker than I'd like. But they still turned out pretty good. For more pictures from the photo shoot check out my Photography blog.

Sadie's Camera & Hurt Finger

March 29, 2009
A few days before we left Sadie had fallen in the back yard and scrapped her finger. Well when we got back her finger was pretty red, so Steve and I cleaned her finger and put Grandma's magic medicine (neosporin) on and wrapped it in first a bandaid and then gauze so she'd leave it on for a while.

Well the Sunday we got back from Dana Point, Sierra had taken Sadie to Church. She had her dressed up in one of Rylie's old dresses and she looked adorable. She also had a new toy, a camera. So she was walking around with a purple bandage on her finger and a camera pretending to take pictures like Mommy.
