Almost Crawling

We are getting closer to crawling. Right now she is a rolly pollie and that's how she gets around for the most part. Either that or she will just lunge. We have a blanket on the floor with some toys, an incentive for her to crawl. She will stick her bum in the air and get on her elbows but that's it so far. Hopefully by the time Grandma & Grandpa Hildebrand come for a visit she will be on the go. I know what you're thinking though...be careful what you wish for right? I know, I'm dreading it. :)

Day Care Beauties

This morning when I dropped 'Miss Thang' off at Kimmi's Daycare I decided to get a couple of pictures. Paige and Sadie are only a month apart. They are so cute together.

This is Miss Rylie Jane or RJ for short. She is one of my really good friends daughter. Don't you just love that hair. She is so beautiful.
This is Noelle she is actually Kimmi's granddaughter and comes to daycare once and a while. Isn't she pretty with that dark hair and beautiful eyes. Don't let looks full you though, she is a pistol.

Who Needs Alligator Wrestlers - When We Have Pillow Wrestlers

Tonight began Sadie's adventures into Pillow Wrestling. Steve had put Sadie on the bed and put pillows all around her and then left the room. Less than a minute later he heard a thump and then a cry. He ran into the bedroom and low and behold Sadie had wrestled the big body pillow to the ground. Luckily she won and landed on top of the pillow but then bounced off and hit the bed.

Steve quickly picked her up and as soon as he did she stopped crying and started smiling and kicking like she wanted to do it again. After a thorough examination Steve determined she was fine. The funniest part though is this adventure literally scared the poop out of her. Yes it's true!

I was not home yet to witness this adventure but I got an ear full about MINE daughter as soon as I got home. I don't know who it scared more to be honest Sadie or Daddy. At least the dreaded falling off the bed has been accomplished and I was no where near the house. We have now set a firm rule no more bed unless we are in the room.

Here are a couple pictures of her and aforementioned body pillow...it's huge and I'm not sure exactly how she accomplished it. She is much stronger and athletic than we realized.

July Family Picnic

Calling all Goree's , Kidd's, & Hildebrand's or any other family & friends that want to attend...

We will be getting together on July 19th at 5:30pm at Fruitvale park for a family picnic. Family will be coming in from out of town so it's a great excuse to get everyone together.

For those who will be coming please let me know. We are going to treat this as a potluck, so please bring a main dish and either a side dish or dessert. Don't forget your chairs and eating utensils. I will provide water, iced tea and ice for the masses.

Hope to see everyone there. We will have a great time I'm sure.

Shane & Suzanne's New House

While we were visiting at Aunt Karen's we decided to run down the block to Shane and Suzanne's new house. They still haven't got the keys yet but they are supposed to get them this week. Keep your finger's crossed. Anyhoo, we peeked in the windows and went around back and looked around. It's a great house for a new couple. They will enjoy it.

Tammy, Suzanne, Shane, Mary, Reegan, Sean & Denise...Steve was taking the picture and Sadie was asleep in the car.

BBQ for Adam's & Shane's Birthdays

Well Saturday found us traveling up to Fresno for a much needed family get together for Adam's Birthday and for Shane's Birthday. At least it was a great excuse for us to get together. We had a great time visiting and catching up. It had been a while since we've done this.

There are now the new three. The old three were Sean (Mary's Son), Todd (Kenny's Son) and Adam (Charlie's Son). They were all within a few months of each other. Now the new three are Jack (Charlie's Son, Matthew's Son), Reegan (Mary's Son, Sean's Son) and Sadie (Kenny's Daughter, Tammy's Daughter). Isn't that neat how time has a way of repeating itself. Jack is the oldest at 10 months, then Reegan at 6 months and finally Sadie at 5 months. Below is a picture of the new three:

It was really fun to watch the three of them get to know eachother a little. We all know they won't remember these visits but as Parent's we will. Hopefully it won't be so long in between visits from now on. Here are a few more pictures from the get-together...Enjoy.

Sleeping Beauty

Well lately Sadie has been playing until she drops. She has so much energy that she just goes like the energizer bunny until she just can't go any more. She has also been fighting going to sleep lately. There is just too much to do and see.

Steve is gone this week to Las Vegas for a conference. So it's just been us girls. And last night she fought and fought cuz she didn't want to go to sleep. Well as soon as Steve called and started talking to her on the speaker phone she was out like a light.

In Sadie's crib we've had a infant positioner in her crib so she couldn't roll over. Well she's discovered she can roll over within the positioner. So I took it out of her crib for the first time last night. Now I've mentioned her best friend George the bear before right. Well last night while discovering she was free to roam her crib, she also discovered she could touch George now with all of her extremities. So below is how she finally fell asleep. Needless to say though when she woke up this morning at 5am she was all over her crib. By the time I got in there, George was no longer in his spot he was in front of her pink night light protecting it. HA!

Well this morning she was playing on her Baby Einstein mat while I got ready for work. She was playing super hard and when I got out of the shower this is what I discovered. Aren't sleeping babies precious? I think so any way.

Summertime Beauty

So this weekend we got out our Bathing suit and took some great summertime photos. She loves to be outside on a towel or blanket. She loves the feel of the grass. We didn't stay outside too long though cuz it was hot. Good ole' Bakersfield.

Sadie's First Play Date

Well today was Sadie's first play date. We went to the park with Rylie, Aunt Katie and Aunt Ally. We got to play and visit. Rylie was so cute and was free to run around the park while Sadie got to play on her blanket on the grass. I can't believe how big Rylie has gotten. Sadie had a blast feeling the grass and laying on her back and watching the trees. The weather was beautiful. We had a great time...here are a few pictures.

A Long Day For Sadie

First and foremost...Happy Anniversary to Aunt Jillbee and Uncle Travis! Second Happy Birthday to Cousin Jace! He turned two this week.

Ok now for the long day...today Steve and I went to Thousand Oaks to visit Doctor Buyalos and all the nurses who helped bring Sadie to this world. We went down to visit with Doctor B to discuss my pregnancy with Sadie and the delivery of Sadie. We also discussed when we would try to have another child. We have decided to start trying again in September using some frozen embryos.

So it was a pretty long day for all of us, especially Sadie. So when we got home from our trip it was time to feed Sadie her Squash dinner. Here are a couple of pictures of her patiently waiting. What you don't see is that is how she actually ate her dinner with her head laying down on her bumbo seat.

After dinner it was time for bed. I put Sadie down and she wasn't too happy so she made her displeasure known, very loudly. Then all of the sudden there was silence. Upon investigating this change I found that Sadie had rolled over ontop of her pink night light and George the teddy bear. Here are a couple pictures of her being caught playing instead of sleeping, until she finally played so hard she finally passed out.
