Sadie & the Box

I got a great surprise for my birthday from my brother and sister-in-law. They sent me their vinyl machine and some pj's for Sadie. I didn't open the boxes until the next day, Trav's birthday. Sadie LOVED it. All the boxes were full and I mean full (thanks guys) of packing peanuts. So we put Sadie in the box so she could play with them. She had a blast. Especially when Steve started pouring more packing peanuts on her. We were getting ready to ship her to Etna. She thought it was really funny though when Steve closed the box. Here are some pics.
Here come the peanuts.

Can you tell we had Spaghetti for dinner?
Almost ready...
Here we go...off to Etna...

Mommy's Birthday

For my birthday we headed down to the park for a little while since the sun came out and it was nice. Sadie loved playing with all the kids and especially in the sand. I let her take her shoes off and she went nuts.

Our Friend Sierra came over for a nice visit. It had been too long since we got to see her and catch up on eachother's lives.
I told Steve I really didn't want to do anything for my birthday except catch up on our shows and have a steak. So he got a couple of steaks and BBQ'd them up after he made an appearance at a co-workers farewell. Steve stopped and got me Texas Sheet cake, from Jake's Tex Mex, my favorite.

After the Party...

After the party, Tiffy stayed and played with us for a little while.
Steve bought a huge balloon and had tied it to the top of Karina's Yukon. Well after everyone left Alyssa brought it in and of course we had to play with it. It was almost as tall as Sadie.

Here is a video of Sadie playing with the balloon.

Sadie's New Outfit. We decided to go out to eat for dinner and had a great time at the Elephant Bar. Sadie was almost normal and we had a semi private booth so we didn't disrupt too many people.

Sadie's 2nd Birthday Party

Warning: This entry has lots of pictures and funny videos.
We decided to have Sadie's birthday party at our new house. It's a lot larger than our old one and most everyone hadn't seen it yet anyway.
We blew up the bouncer and moved all the furniture. And there was a nice large play area for the kids. They all had a lot of fun bouncing in the bouncer and riding the horse and cars. I got maracas and sunglasses for all the kids to play with. They really loved dancing around, especially Sadie and Beau. But I think everyone had a really nice time.
Here's a video of everyone getting their gear together and getting used to the bouncer.

Beau Blakley

Here's a video of everyone playing.

Beau and Sadie loved dancing in the bouncer.

Sadie's Cousin Benjamin...Beau's baby brother. Sadie's baby cousin Jude was there too, but for some reason I didn't get a good picture of him.
Rylie, Beau & Sadie riding the cars.
Atley was very shy so she would play in the bouncer while the other kids were playing elsewhere.
Here is a video of everyone singing Happy Birthday to Sadie.

Our superstar Beau

Here's a great video of Sadie & Beau dancing around in the bouncer and playing with the other kids. They really got along great. Rylie and Atley took a little while to get over their shyness but when Rylie did she had a lot of fun with Beau and Sadie.

Sadie taking a breather
Rylie and Sadie. (I have to say I miss seeing them playing together. They were such great friends while they were at daycare together. It didn't take them too long to slip right back into that friendship though. Which makes me very happy!!)

Rylie, Beau & Sadie

Here is everyone...Rylie, Sadie, Beau and Atley in the door of the bouncer.

(I made all the girls little tutu's to wear. Thanks Virginia for showing me how!)

Here's a short video of Sadie & Atley in the bouncer. This was one of the only times Atley was in there with anyone else. Everytime she was in the bouncer and saw someone coming she dove for the door. Sadie went kinda of crazy in the bouncer while Atley was in there at one point in the day and it scared Atley. She is such a tender little girl. So needless to say she wouldn't have anything else to do with Sadie while she was in that bouncer.

Here is a fun video of Tiffany & Sadie in the bouncer. We were laughing so hard...oh but you'll hear it. Tiffany is great with Sadie. We love Tiffy...we've kind of adopted her!! Sorry Tiffy you're stuck with us.

What you don't see is Steve's sister Karina and niece Alyssa. Who made the trip all the way down from Portland, OR so they could help celebrate Sadie's birthday. They made it through the snow and rain (barely) and we really loved having them here. Hopefully the next time they come to visit they will leave the rain and snow in OR so we can actually go outside and play.

Sadie loved playing with her cousins and friends. It just makes me so happy that we have such great family and friends. We are truly very blessed! Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate Sadie's special day! We love you!

Shopping with Aunt Karina & Alyssa

Since the weather really wasn't cooperating for a visit to Bakersfield, we loaded up and headed to the mall with Aunt Karina and Alyssa. We had a nice visit while walking around the mall. We stopped and let Sadie ride the red train and the green tug boat. Sadie sure did enjoy that.

Birthday Surprises: Part II - The Bouncer

So Steve and I decided instead of renting a bouncer for Sadie's birthday party, we would invest in a smaller bouncer that she could have more than just the party. It's a nice bouncer, about 6 ft across and it was only $40 at Wal-mart. And let's just say I'm in heaven. She has bounced and bounced. Getting a lot of her pent up energy out. It's really nice for rainy days! Which I think Karina and Alyssa brought with them from Oregon.

Here is Alyssa throwing Sadie into the bouncer. They had a lot of fun doing this all weekend!

Here's a video of Sadie bouncing and exclaiming she's bouncing to everyone. Alyssa started moving the bouncer while Sadie was bouncing and Sadie LOVED it! Oh and in the bouncer is Sadie's Monkey blanket that Karina and Alyssa made for her...it's a must blanket now where ever we go!

Here is a video of Sadie trying to run in her bouncer.
