Sadie Sings the Wiggles

Before the Wiggles
And singing with the Wiggles...

She really gets into it. I am trying to get a video but I thought these pictures would at least show you what I am talking about.

Sadie's First Fort

Sadie's first fort! (not much to look at I know)
She really didn't understand what to do.
She kept sitting on the outside of the fort
Until we explained/showed her how she could go underneath! This smile explains it all!

Sitting in her fort
Dance, Dance, Dance
Then she found Steve's shoes
And then had to show me his shoes. Check out her expression. Those shoes were really heavy.
After a long afternoon of playing she was ready for a break

My Crafty Self!

My brother Shane is a big Denver Broncos fan. Well he and his wife Suzanne are expecting their first child and sure enough its a boy! Suzanne's baby shower is August 29th, so I had to hurry and whip up a blanket. Here is the results...

My previous post mentioned that I was going to do some crafts with my friend. I believe I've mentioned before what a hard time I'm having keeping Sadie quiet at Church. Well I came up with this idea to help keep the piece.

I bought a dry erase/magnet board and glued felt on the back and took ribbon and trimmed the entire board. I also got some pre-made wooden animal shapes and a bunch of "bath time" letters and numbers and glued magnets on the back. We also got a bunch of fabric with fun characters and shapes to make into felt characters and shapes. We ran out of time for that project so that's for another day. I'll post pictures of that project later. Here is the results...

It really didn't cost that much to do. The tub of letters and numbers I found at Target and were only $9 and there was enough for two. The magnet board and fabric/felt/ribbon we got at walmart as well as the wooden animals. Walmart also has peel and stick magnets for really cheap. So find a friend and split the costs, and have fun in the process.

Sadie's New Look

I'm 19 months old now!
On Saturday, I got up and ready for a day of crafting with my good friend Virginia. Steve volunteered to watch Sadie so I could have a day to myself. It was very thoughtful of him. I got Sadie ready and she was more cooperative than usual so I got to do her hair! (This never happens. It's a fight to even get a pony tail in.)

Sadie's new hair do! It looked really cute.
Watching her "stories" on Playhouse Disney
Her teeth were bothering her, which explains why she was so cooperative. When she doesn't feel good she is a snuggler.
Cheese!
Isn't this outfit cute?! It's a one piece.
That evening after the pony tails came out this is what the results were. Then of course she had to show off her sunglasses and funny enough her Tinker Bell flashlight.
Don't you just love that face?!

Our Little Cupcake

This week while we were getting ready for our day Sadie got to watch a couple episodes of the Wiggles. She LOVES them! She loves the music the funny characters and the especially the DANCING! So here are a few pictures and a couple videos from Wednesday (08-19-09) morning's Sadie show. Starring none other than our own Cupcake herself.
(Don't you love the PJ's?!)
Okay, Okay, I know this isn't the most flattering picture of Sadie but darn it, it's just too dang funny! I think she was dancing to the Wiggles and I caught her mid dance step.

Kickin' it on her Zebra watching the Wiggles
Cheese!

"Oh My Goodness"

"Ok it wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be" hahaha
Famous Sadie dance moves. If you watch to the end you'll see her rock to "Play your guitar with Murray"
Ok Sadie has some funny dance moves. This video I was trying to get her to do her newest move and she started to do it and then stopped. But look what she does when I ask her if she's going to dance....hahahaha!
This video she was dancing then stole my napkin. What I find funny about this video is what she does when I ask her what comes after the number 2. (You think she's been in trouble before?)

Beau's Birthday Party

August 14, 2009
August has been a very fun month for us. We've got to go to two different birthday parties and we got a new puppy.
On the 14th we were able to go to the park for our Cousin Beau's 2nd birthday. Sadie LOVED it! She played and played on the equipment.

Then she found the bike rack and she and Beau played with this for a while. Going in and Out!

Of course she wanted to SWING! Unfortunately there was only 1 toddler swing so she didn't swing too much.

I got this great picture of the two of us (if you ignore the ketchup on her face and the watermelon juice on her shirt)

This park even had a teeter-totter
Beau, Sadie and one of Beau's other friends

We had to leave early so we didn't get to have cake or watch Beau unwrap presents. But little Miss I need to PLAY PLAY PLAY wouldn't slow down and she got EXTREMELY over heated. As you can see the redness of her face. But she had a great time. And we hope Beau had a very Happy Birthday party.

Lucy Galyan's Birthday Party

August 8, 2009
Sadie and I were invited to Lucy Galyan's 3rd Birthday party. Her Mom Jill, threw a great party with a western theme. She even had a pony for pony rides. So we got in our overalls and heading down to the party. All the kids got little number tags for their turn on the Pony. Sadie was number 5 (Mommies favorite number).
Here is Sadie just sitting on the Pony getting used to it.

She didn't mind sitting on the pony. But riding it was a little different. She made one loop around the yard and was done.
I told Marsha Newlen, pony's owner, that we would need to come out to her place so we could get her used to riding. She said any time. I may just have to take her up on that.
Ride 'em Cowgirl!

Jill set up little booths around the yard for the kids to play.

The Galyans also have some chickens. Sadie was very interested in them and they, as you can see, were very interested in her. This one even climbed up on the container so they could see eye to eye.

Each of the booths had signs posted to tell the kids what they were. The Panning for Gold Booth was Sadie's favorite. She kept going back to this one all morning.

Look I found "1"

They also had a face painting booth. Sadie actually sat there like a big girl. Luckily it was just a small star. I don't think she would have sat there for much longer.

This booth was supposed to be the lasso booth. See the hula hoops in the back ground? Well they were the lassos. But apparently Sadie had other ideas. I think she liked this pony much better than the real thing. I really need to get her to the Newlen's.
