Flower Girl Practice

Sadie's cousin Alyssa is getting married in a few days and Miss Sadie is going to be her flower girl.

She has been practicing for days and is doing quite well.

She thinks it's funny when the petals fall on her head.

Fresno Zoo with the Cousins

Meredith and Levi were feeling better a couple days after the blessing so we drove up to go to the zoo with them.

Sadie got to feed the giraffes.

Meredith and Henrietta chilling and having a snack.

Miss Sadie and Levi in the petting zoo.

Yep that's my little big girl!

After having fun at zoo these little guys didn't want to go to bed.  So we stayed up a little longer than usual for some play time.

Baby Blessings

My babies were blessed today.

Henrietta Marie

Augustus Emmitt

Grandpa Kenny blessed Henrietta

Uncle Travis blessed Augustus

I am so fortunate to have these wonderful men in my life and the lives of my family.

Unfortunately Uncle Shane couldn't make it as the kids had a viral infection that we didn't want to spread to the twins. He and the whole family were really missed.

Left to Right:
Tyson, Kevin, Grandpa Larry, Daddy, Grandpa Kenny, Travis.

So blessed to have Aunt Mary, Uncle Wendell and Derrick here to celebrate the blessing.

Family Dinner

Saturday we invited our family and friends over to celebrate the twins turning two months old and being blessed on Sunday. Steve and I worked on friday and made pulled beef for sandwiches.  I also my cake pops with my cake pop machine and made strawberry kabobs.  We had macaroni salad, veggies and chips.  It was so nice having all our family and friends there to help celebrate.  Sadie really loved having all her cousins and friends here to play.

Here are Jace and Kyson meeting Hettie.

Our family loves to play games.  And this time was no exception.  Here are the kiddos playing cards while everyone ate and visited.

Kyson, Spencer, Miss Sadie, Nina and Lil Susie.

Here are some of our family visiting over lunch.
Uncle Wendell, Aunt Mary, Aunt Gretta, Aunt Karen, Uncle Bob and my Dad.  (Our friend Kevin is in the far corner)

After dinner my nephews didn't want to go back to the hotel so we had a slumber party.  We played games and watched a movie.  Sadie had so much fun!

Hettie loved Jace.  He would just sit and rock her and he loved being a big helper.

Two Months Old

Here are some random pictures from this week.  Between Knott's Berry Farm, Family Dinners and Baby Blessings this week has been a bit busy.

We love it when Grandma and Grandpa come to visit.
Math bowling anyone?

...Or maybe checkers?

Knotts Berry Farm

On Wednesday night we left the twins with Grandma and Grandpa Hildebrand and we headed down to a hotel near Knott's Berry Farm.  I was very excited about this as it was the first night in over a month that I'd be able to sleep all night.  Or else that's what I was hoping anyway.  Unfortunately my body is still on baby time and I kept waking up.  It was nice to be able to go back to sleep and not be up for an hour for feeding.

On Thursday we met my brother Travis' family for Miss Sadie's first trip to Knott's Berry Farm.  Miss Sadie was so excited to see her cousins.

Here is Miss Sadie and Jace getting some breakfast before hitting the road to Knott's Berry Farm.

Uncle Travis, Aunt Jill-bee, Spencer, Kyson (Beiber), Jace and Miss Sadie.

Aunt Jill-bee is awesome and everyone had matching shirts...they even got one for Miss Sadie.  She was SO excited.

Miss Sadie and I waiting for the train robbers to come and get us.  She wasn't scared at all.  Man I remember being so scared.  Times certainly have changed.

Miss Sadie was a little nervous about ALL the rides.  So I made her go on a few.  That's Aunt Jill-bee and Jace in the balloon behind Miss Sadie.  After this balloon ride she says "That wasn't so bad.  Let's go again."

Steve took this cool photo with his new camera.

This was the ride of the day for Miss Sadie.  Here is Jace and Miss Sadie.  They loved this ride and I lost count of how many times Miss Sadie went on it.

I remember doing this ride when I was little.
It's a pump yourself railroad cart.  Miss Sadie rocked it!

You may judge me but we made Miss Sadie go on the log ride with us.  Just once.  She didn't like the darkness inside the mountain.  On our climb up she saw the light from outside and kept saying,"lets go there".  Little did she know about the plunge she was about to take. (Oh and we bought the pictures...this was just a quick snapshot of the one we bought.)

Trav's family got drenched in their log.  Miss Sadie was happy to be moving on.

At the end of the day we decided to slow things down and went and watched Snoopy on Ice.  Miss Sadie loved it.
