Kangaroo Lake - July 6, 2009

While we were up north we decided to take Sadie fishing for the first time. So we loaded up and went to Kangaroo Lake (Gpa Hildebrand's favorite). When we got there Mom and Dad hadn't made it yet so we headed down to the lake to wait for them. While we were waiting Steve got out the bait (wormies) and introduced Sadie to them. Here are a couple of pictures of her reaction....

Sadie was a bit restless so she and I took a walk around the lake. Here are a couple of pictures of the beautiful lake. It's handicap accessible which is nice since Gpa can't hike to any lakes anymore.

Sadie really, REALLY loved playing with the gross fish net. But that's what fishing and camping is all about right?! To see how dirty and grimy you can actually get?

Fishing Instructions begin....

Luke, Gpa & Gma (Uncle Matthew and Cousin Aydin were also there)
**While we were fishing Sadie kept trying to go into the water. Mind you it was a bit chilly and the water itself was a bit more chilly. So finally she took off running and ran into the water. When she met the resistance she went head first in the water. Gma was trying to let her get her footing before grabbing her. I was scared and Sadie was scared. But she quickly got over it and went back in. (Ok, Ok i was more than a bit scared I was terrified and yelled at my poor Mom. Sorry Mom.) I tell this story as the next few pictures, Sadie has no britches on and her hair is a bit disheveled.
Here is Sadie showing off her mad skills at fishing. (She's a quick study)

Then it was time to get the britches back on and fish with Daddy.

We got a great family picture.

Ok, this picture is really funny because after the family pictures, I was taking down the tripod and Sadie went to the wall and posed like this and said cheese. So of course I had to oblige. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to throw out a cheesy grin.
