Weird Mother Dreams
Well the latest in this kooky installment was this weekend, I can't remember if it was Friday or Saturday night, I thought Sadie was falling off the ledge in our bedroom. Now our bedroom has one of those decorative ledges and we use it for storage. Well apparently I thought Sadie was up there and she was going to fall. So I jumped out of bed screaming at the top of my lungs for Steve to help me. He jumped up and ran around the end of the bed looking for whatever it was I was yelling about. He asked me what's going on. I said Sadie is up there and she's going to fall off. Help me. Now if I had been a man I'm sure Steve would have decked me, he was so mad. He finally told me to Go back to bed.
So I'm asking for advice. What do I do to make the dreams stop? It's happening more often now and my poor husband is getting fed up. He asked me the next day if my insurance covered mental illness. YIKES! Help before it goes that far.

Church Picnic
She had a rough day today with her teeth. She was running a temperature and I kept having to put ambosol on her gums. She was clingy but didn't want to be controlled. It was "mommy hold me, mommy put me down" all morning. But she seemed better this afternoon. She is having a hard time falling asleep, so hopefully she'll do better tonight.
Below are some pictures and a video.
Here is the video of Sadie eating her popicle. You can hear a bunch of people in the back ground but my favorite is of Papa Randy teasing Gracie Galyan. Enjoy!

Soap Box
If you read my previous blog entry you will have read the different consequesences if the fails. And it is those issues that I am concerned about. Sexual preference and religious beliefs aside, if this passes our right to worship how we want will change. If the pastors, preachers and bishops are being sued for not doing gay marriages, that is in direct conflict with their beliefs and that means that we are being told how to worship.
Not to mention if our children will have to be taught about same sex marriages then isn't that taking a right away from the parents and how they would like to raise their children?
Isn't this a free Country? And isn't this a founding principle of this great Country, that we can worship how we want? I know my ancestors didn't suffer persecution for their grandchildren to have that right taken away.
I know I've gone off on a tangent but if we don't put a stop to things like this now, all the things that are wonderful and free about this Country won't be. And that is not a place I'd like to raise my daughter. Our founding Fathers were Christians and they were fighting for their right to worship as they wanted. They probably weren't all of the same faith but they united together for the same cause. This is what we need to do now.
Please let me clarify something. I have nothing against homosexuals. The are human beings just like you and me and I know several that are very good people. I do not agree with that lifestyle but I am not here to judge. I'm here to get through this world the best that I can. What I have a problem with is my freedoms being taken away. And I will fight against that any day of the week.
Thank you for listening if you made all the way through this entry.
* And for the record if you are a friend or family member of mine I will keep your comments listed. However, I will not keep random people's comments. Thank you.
Six Consequences If Proposition 8 Fails
Therefore, if the definition of marriage is changed, children will be taught that marriage is a relation between any two adults. There will be serious clashes between the secular school system and the right of parents to teach their children their own values and beliefs.
2. Churches will be sued if they refuse to allow same-sex marriage ceremonies in their religious buildings that are open to the public. Ask whether your pastor, priest, minister, bishop, or rabbi is ready to perform such marriages in your chapels and sanctuaries.
3. Religious adoption agencies will be challenged by government agencies to give up their long-held right to place children only in homes with both a mother and a father. Catholic Charities in Boston has already closed its doors because of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Massachusetts.
4. Religions that sponsor private schools and which provide housing for married students will be required to provide housing for same-sex couples, even if it runs counter to church doctrine, or lose tax exemptions and benefits.
5. Ministers who preach against same-sex marriages will be sued for hate speech and could be fined by the government. It has already happened in Canada, one of six countries that have legalized gay marriage.
6. It will cost you money. A change in the definition of marriage will bring a cascade of lawsuits. Even if courts eventually find in favor of a defender of traditional marriage (highly improbable given today's activist judges), think of the money – your money, your church contributions – that will have to be spent on legal fees.
And think of all the unintended consequences that we cannot even foresee at this time. Where will it end? It's your children, your grandchildren, your money, and your liberties. Lets work together to protect them.
* And for the record if you are a friend or family member of mine I will keep your comments listed. However, I will not keep random people's comments. Thank you.

New Accomplishments
Sadie is finally cutting a dang tooth. It's about time is all I have to say about that. Even now you can feel it but you can't quite see it. It looks like a pimple on her gums. It's on her lower gums. And if I thought the drool was bad before look out cuz there is even more now. We've been having to use ambosol cuz the teething tablets haven't been working.
I tell you this for the next picture. You will see the ring around her dress of drool. Now in the picture it's just an ordinary day sitting in her bouncer playing with her musical piano. Well yesterday she was playing with the piano and she started dancing. She danced while Steve played with her. The video isn't all that great but you can kind of see how she dances. This by no means gives the DDR (Dance, Dance Revolution) justice. She was so cute just dancing with Steve.

Making Pancakes
Brandon was covered with flour and getting frustrated. He wanted this to be something very good for Mom and Dad, but it was getting very bad. He didn't know what to do next, whether to put it all into the oven or on the stove and he didn't know how the stove worked! Suddenly he saw his kitten licking from the bowl of mix and reached to push her away, knocking the egg carton to the floor. Frantically he tried to clean up this monumental mess but slipped on the eggs, getting his pajamas white and sticky.
And just then he saw Dad standing at the door. Big crocodile tears welled up in Brandon 's eyes. All he'd wanted to do was something good, but he'd made a terrible mess. He was sure a scolding was coming, maybe even a spanking. But his father just watched him. Then, walking through the mess, he picked up his crying son, hugged him and loved him, getting his own pajamas white and sticky in the process!
That's how God deals with us... We try to do something good in life, but it turns into a mess. Our marriage gets all sticky or we insult a friend, or we can't stand our job, or our health goes sour. Sometimes we just stand there in tears because we can't think of anything else to do. That's when God picks us up and loves us and forgives us, even though some of our mess gets all over Him.
But just because we might mess up, we can't stop trying to make pancakes for God or for others. Sooner or later we'll get it right, and then they’ll be glad we tried.
And never stop making pancakes.
"The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything." Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Memory Lane
Calling all Memories!! So here is a fun new blogging game:
1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Or just say something nice.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. Have a nice little trip down memory lane! (I know you just had a great memory of us....now leave a comment about it!!!)

Weekend Pictures and Videos
Needless to say she really wasn't to happy about being poked and proded. But she was really good on Saturday for her pictures. After we got home we just played on the bed while Steve played XBox. On top of her getting her shots she is teething really bad so she is chewing on everything and anything right now. Poor baby. I know it's probably not her molars but that's where she's been chewing so we will see. Here are some pictures and videos...
Sadie really loves my glasses and tries to get them all the time now.
Too Cute!
Thumb break
Trying to sneak to get the camera
Steve teasing Sadie with her rings.
Laughing & Snorting Sadie (Yes she snorts right at the beginning of the clip)
Steve playing Propeller with Sadie's rings
Sadie talking and rocking. She also demonstrates her new fake cry.
Playing with her rings & talking
(By the way she loves those rings and waves them around all the time. You have to watch out to because she can whip those things pretty fast.)
Trying to get the camera. She's all about trying to grab stuff out of your hands right now. She thinks she wants everything. And you hear about it if she doesn't get it (which is often in our house - no sympathy here). Hince the fake cry. It's funny and pathetic at the same time.
