So You Think You Can Dance? Sadie Can!

So You Think You Can Dance?

This video deserves it's own special post!

August 8, 2009 in the wee hours of the morning we sat watching Imagination Movers on Playhouse Disney. After several very good dance moves I got my camera and this is what I got.

Please know that I feel no remorse posting this as I believe it is one of the funniest things I've seen in a really long time. And yes I know it's my child but seriously you try not to laugh!

**Disclaimer: No children were harmed during the filming of this video. (She didn't even cry!)**

A New Family Member - August 2, 2009

Meet Dee Dee ...

She is two months old and is a lab collie mix

She really could be Daisy's baby.
Sadie absolutely loves her!

She got sick after we got her with kennel cough, which then Daisy got. But they are both doing much better and are healthy.

As you can see they like to play but sometimes Sadie gets just a bit rough.

Sunday after church.
Daddy put her bloomers on her head and she laughed and laughed.

I thought this was really cute and reminded me of a smaller version of Mother Theresa. Looks can be deceiving.

Sadie Turns 18 Months!

My baby girl is now 18 months old. I can't believe that it's been that long. Some days feel longer than other but she is so worth it. I wouldn't know what to do if we didn't have her in our family. She is an absolute joy and pain all at the same time.

She loves music and especially loves to dance. We will catch her dancing by herself with no music (except in her head). She is now singing and talking alot. We still don't know exactly what she is saying but we can usually get the jist of it.

She is very active and loves to play, inside or out. She is a climber and will climb on ANYTHING! Especially her parents. (I don't know the last time I didn't have brusies on my body). She is very smart and loves to figure out how things work or how she can get them to work for her.

We are struggling with quiet voices right now and being quiet in Church. She is getting better but it's an ongoing struggle. She loves nursery and all her friends and teachers. So Momma is working on quiet games and books to keep our VERY active little girl quiet.

I have trained her well and she will now stop and pose for a picture. But she is still camera shy when I turn the video camera to get a video of her dancing. She is now wanting to take pictures so I've been working with her on how to take them. We think we will try and get a "kid friendly" camera so she can take real pictures. Or maybe just the disposable kind.

I love her so very much and I thank the Heavens above for granting me this precious life.

Cheese
(REALLY HARD)

Here is Sadie playing with her baby doll.

**Please note the background noise is the US Men's Volleyball Team playing China therefore I could not turn off the sound.**

Have you heard of the three men in a tub? The Butcher, The Baker & The Candlestick maker...Well this reminded me of that. Only she's not in the water she's playing her piano.

Kangaroo Lake - July 6, 2009

While we were up north we decided to take Sadie fishing for the first time. So we loaded up and went to Kangaroo Lake (Gpa Hildebrand's favorite). When we got there Mom and Dad hadn't made it yet so we headed down to the lake to wait for them. While we were waiting Steve got out the bait (wormies) and introduced Sadie to them. Here are a couple of pictures of her reaction....

Sadie was a bit restless so she and I took a walk around the lake. Here are a couple of pictures of the beautiful lake. It's handicap accessible which is nice since Gpa can't hike to any lakes anymore.

Sadie really, REALLY loved playing with the gross fish net. But that's what fishing and camping is all about right?! To see how dirty and grimy you can actually get?

**While we were fishing Sadie kept trying to go into the water. Mind you it was a bit chilly and the water itself was a bit more chilly. So finally she took off running and ran into the water. When she met the resistance she went head first in the water. Gma was trying to let her get her footing before grabbing her. I was scared and Sadie was scared. But she quickly got over it and went back in. (Ok, Ok i was more than a bit scared I was terrified and yelled at my poor Mom. Sorry Mom.) I tell this story as the next few pictures, Sadie has no britches on and her hair is a bit disheveled.
Here is Sadie showing off her mad skills at fishing. (She's a quick study)

Then it was time to get the britches back on and fish with Daddy.

We got a great family picture.

Ok, this picture is really funny because after the family pictures, I was taking down the tripod and Sadie went to the wall and posed like this and said cheese. So of course I had to oblige. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to throw out a cheesy grin.

4th of July 2009 - Carter Meadows

While we were up in Etna we got to spend the 4th with family up at Carter Meadows. My Mom's side of the family goes camping there every 4th. Steve and I realized the last time we were up there was in 1995, so we thought it was time to go back and let Sadie have the same type of fun I used to growing up.
