Exploring Disneyland

Let me first start off by saying this is a big entry. There are a lot of pictures but we did so many new things this trip it was hard not to include everything.
This trip we got to go exploring and find things that we hadn't done yet at Disneyland.
Petting Zoo
Our first stop was to go visit the animals at the petting zoo. The little billy goats really liked Sadie. A little too much. They tried to eat her shirt. But after they got a taste of her they tried to escape.

Here are the billy goats trying to escape.
Toon Town

Our next stop was Toon Town. We'd visited before but every time Sadie was napping so we decided we needed to explore Mickey's house, since Minnie's house was full of people waiting for autographs. Sadie was completely enthralled with Mickey's stuff.
Sadie wanted to go inside Pluto's house.
I think she'd really like one of these at our house!!
Then of course she had to drive Mickey's car.
Then we went down by Roger Rabbit's ride. And she just wanted to drive the fire truck.
California Adventure
We crossed over to California Adventure. Sadie loves to go on the fish carousel ride and of course we had to visit Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse for the show.

We stopped and shopped a little on the pier this time (new to me). We found a great hat that came with the sunglasses. She loved them.
Flick's Fun Fair
Then we discovered Flick's Fun Fair. I hadn't seen this part of California Adventure so we decided to take a look and were very happy with what we found.

Here is Heimlich's ride...he takes you through all the food he's eaten.

Then it was on to Francis the Lady Bugs spinning ride (like the tea cups)
Next to Francis' ride was Flick's High Flyers
Sadie actually really enjoyed this ride.

We had just enough time to make it to the last show of Mickey's Clubhouse. Sadie even met a new friend while in line. (SHOCKING)
Sadie is already a concert groupie. She was up dancing and having a good ole time.

After the concert we hit up Monster's Inc again and then decided to head back over to Disneyland. Of course our first stop was King Arthur's Carousel.
Then we decided to take a ride on the Mark Twain paddle boat.
It was a little slow for Sadie's taste but she did enjoy looking at everything through the railing.

I also tried something new...A Turkey Leg.
I'd never had one before and wondered what the hype was about.
It was delicious and enough for both Sadie and I to have to dinner.
On our way out to the tram we saw this...
...I had to get a picture as Steve is a huge Braves fan!
We had a lot of fun trying new things at Disneyland and hope come the fall we'll discover even more amazing adventures!

Memorial Day: Part II

We came home from the park and watched movies under Sadie's bed...

Then we went outside and filled up the pool to have a little swim.

Memorial Day: Part I

Our Memorial day was a very full day. I got the family up really early so we could do a sunrise photo shoot at the park near our house. I think the pictures turned out terrific.

After the photo shoot we played at the park for a while.

Check out the Photos of Tams' world for more pictures...

Our Tiffy

I got to go and see one of my very good friends graduate from Bakersfield College. I am so very proud of her. She has worked very hard to get here. She knows what she wants and she is on the road to getting it. Congratulations Tiffany!

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, I was filled with mixed feelings. I was lost in thoughts before I had Sadie and the feelings and sadness that I felt with this holiday. Don't get me wrong I am extremely thankful for my beautiful girl. It's just taken me a while to get rid of the feelings of trying for so long to be a Mom. And that got me thinking about my Mom, Grandmas and Aunts. I have had such wonderful women in my life and I am truly blessed. That then turned my thoughts to all the other outstanding women whom I have been surrounded by my entire life. My wonderful youth leaders, my friend's mothers, and teachers. I have had such great examples to help shape and mold who I am.
Which got me to thinking...I too may have been one of those examples to a child. I know that I have loved and looked after several children that were not my own that I considered myself an Aunt too. Time is a big factor here though. I know for a lot of people these feelings are raw, new and uncontrolable. I know I've been there. I just hope that those people who are struggling with these feelings know that it will get easier and when it's time it will happen. And I know you don't want to hear that, I didn't, but it's the truth. So if you are one of these people or you know someone who is struggling with this issue, please know I am here for you and I understand. And if you need someone to talk to I am here.

Ok enough of that. I was able to have a wonderful breakfast and dinner prepared by my loving husband and a beautiful necklace. And some great quality time with my baby. And believe it or not I forgot to get my camera out. So please forgive me...the only pictures I have are from my phone. I have to say I love my family and I'm so glad that everyone puts up with me.

Sadie's New Bed

On our way home from running some errands we passed by a yard sale. And they had a "princess" bed for sale. I haggled and got it for about the same price as the bed we had been looking at for Sadie. This bed however was a twin size and has a lot more features.

So Sadie was sleeping while I did all the running around and picking up the bed. So as a surprise Steve set up the bed while we were at the park walking with Aunt Mary. She LOVES her new bed. Now we just have to get her to actually sleep in it. But I'm ok with taking it slowly.

Sunny Saturday

Saturday, Sadie and I got to go to River Walk and go for a walk with Aunt Mary, Denise, Sean, Reegan and some of their friends. We had a great time. After we went for a walk the kids got to play at the park for a while.
