Dana Point: Part II

We found a great kite at Sam's Club on clearance. It's a 3D frog. Steve had fun flying it.

It kept Sadie's attention for all of 10 minutes though

Steve put the kite away and he and Sadie decided to play in the sand. Sadie was innocent and didn't realize Daddy was actually burying her until she couldn't move.

Yes this is us. We're a little crazy but it's fun!

Later that afternoon we needed to get out of the hotel room and stretch our legs. So we found this running path. Sadie had fun and I even got in the action of running.

Dana Point: Part I

So the weather decided it needed to be overcast most of the time we were down there. So the day before our friends left we went down to the wharf and had a nice dinner and decided to go back to the beach for a nice little walk.

It's funny because both of the girls were crying but for different reasons. Sadie didn't want to go near the ocean and Atley wanted to get in the ocean.

4th of July in Dana Point

We took a trip down to Dana Point, CA for the 4th with our good friends The Olsons. Unfortunately the first day we got there I was sicker than a dog. But luckily everyone was able to escape the flu.

By Sunday I was feeling much better. So we ventured down to the large pool which overlooks the ocean to watch the fireworks. They were amazing. We really enjoyed not having to deal with traffic or other people. So it was really nice that we could just walk right back to our room.

Goree Picnic

This year's Goree Picnic was plagued with the flu. There were several people who couldn't come due to the flu and then within days of the picnic I think pretty much everyone who came to the picnic got the flu.

Sadie's 1st Swim Lesson

We signed up for a water babies class this year. It was a two week long class in the evenings for about a 1/2 hour. The first week was touch and go. Sadie absolutely hated getting her face wet. But by the second week she was a pro. Her teacher's name was Merissa. And Sadie loved her. Merissa said that she is ready to go on to the preschool class which is without the parent. So we will try that one next time. Here are a few pictures courtsey of Grandpa Hildebrand. I forgot my camera each time. These pictures were from the first week so needless to say there are a few crying pictures due to getting her face wet.

Father's Day 2010

We got to have my Dad with us for Father's Day. So we invited Aunt Mary, Uncle Wendell, Sean, Denise and Reegan over for a nice barbeque. We had a lovely time and Sadie and Reegan really enjoyed playing together.

Gma & Gpa Hildebrand Come to Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Hildebrand came to visit for a couple of weeks. While they were here we got to visit the park among other things.
