Shane & Suzanne

Well Friday after work Sadie and I drove up to Fresno. We went to Aunt Suzanne's Parents house for dinner and to visit. Mom and Dad arrived shortly after we got there. It was nice to visit with Suzanne and her family. Kim, Jackie and Tammy, Suzanne's Sisters were there as well. Little Ezra was sleeping.

Sadie had a power nap on the way up so she was ready to go when we got to the house. After we had dinner and visited we headed back to Shane and Suzanne's where we visited some more. Poor Sadie didn't go to sleep until 12am. She was a trooper though. She got up at 7am the next morning and wasn't cranky. She just played and watch little Einsteins.

I left to go and take my Notary Public Exam. Yes it's true! I took the test and hopefully will find out in about 10 days if I passed or not. It was crazy though. There were 52 people who took the exam. I got there at 9:30 and was inside by 10:15. The test was supposed to start at 10:30am. They didn't even start handing out the tests until 11:20 am. I was so tired so I napped while I waited. Once we received our instructions to fill out the tests and we actually were able to start the test, it took me literally 10 mins. So I got out of there at 11:45am.

Travis flew in and was running a few errands with Shane and then we all met up at Shane and Suzanne's house to get ready to go to the Temple. Sadie was loving Suzanne's best friend Lindsay. And loved Aunt Suzanne's glass. It must have felt good on her tooth. You could here it clinking on the glass. Then we all got ready and left for the Temple. Here are some pictures.

Sadie in her stroller at the Temple. This was the first time we have put her in the stroller this way. Usually she's in her carseat and it sits on the stroller. She really enjoyed the tray.
Here you can see that she is trying to chew on the tray. She loved pulling herself up and back too. There was just enough give that she was able to rock a little in the stroller.
This is Baby Ezra. Suzanne's nephew. He is so cute. Lindsay is holding him. She was a hit with the babies. Thanks Lindsay!

This picture is actually a picture of my Mom and Dad with Sadie but I really loved the expression on her face. She was such a good girl for having very little sleep.
Momma and Sadie. Don't you love the face?!

Now here are all the family pictures at the Temple.

Ok so after the Temple we all went back to Suzanne's Parents house for dinner. It was wonderful. After dinner Jackie started us all singing the Happy Birthday song but we changed the words to Happy Sealing. So take a look. It's pretty funny!

Daddy's Birthday Party

So last night we got Take Out from Olive Garden. Yummy!

We tried their new Grilled Chicken Flatbread. It was really good.

Then Steve wanted Carrot cake with Cream Cheese Frosting so Monday night I made the cake and last night I frosted it. I found a new recipe for the frosting and it really turned out well.

If you know me then you know that when it comes to Birthday's I have two rules. You must have the "Happy Birthday" song sang to you and blow out a candle and you must have something to unwrap. Simple Right?! Wrong!

Well low and behold I didn't have any birthday candles. So I decided we would use matches. Well it took us most the night to even find the matches and when we did I didn't light them right so Steve had to help me. Steve had Sadie in his arms while I sang "Happy Birthday".
Here's the video.

Here's a picture right after Steve Blew out his "candles"
Then we went into the living room and Steve opened his birthday present. Keep in mind things are kind of tight right now like so many of us and we had very little money. I really wanted to get him some new sunglasses but was unable to. Well while we were looking for the matches I found an old pair of "The Rock" sunglasses we got years ago. We never opened them and they were in a tube so I thought it would be funny to put his real present, A ratchet (great present right? well it was a craftsman ratchet and he asked for it), in the tube with the glasses. Here is the video of him opening the present and his reaction.

Afterwards it was time for Sadie's bottle. So I made it and gave it to her and this is were she decided she wanted to lay while she ate it. She is a nut! Oh and you can't see it but she bit herself last night and drew blood. So we had to put a bandaid on it to stop the bleeding. Then we took it off so she wouldn't choke on it. She kept trying to chew her fingers. So be careful the next time she sees you, her teeth are sharp.

Bubble Wrap

Well Steve got a special package from his Mom for his birthday. A Yummy Snickerdoodle pie. Luckily for Sadie it was wrapped in bubble wrap. She was fascinated.

Here are a couple of videos. Enjoy!

Me: UGH! You're killing me Smalls. No funny faces

Steve: Fine no funny faces (see picture below)

Me: Will you please smile?

Steve: (Laughing)

Hope you like the pictures...it was like pulling teeth.

Exploring & Playing is Fun!

Well Sadie is on the go these days. Below are a couple of pictures. Her favorite place to try and get to is under Steve's chair. She gets in trouble but it's a mystery to her so she must figure it out. Sound like anyone you know? *cough Steve cough*

Here are just some random pictures of her playing and exploring in the living room. I will have you know that she loves her pink blanket. Yep we have another one! She takes that thing every where. She has even fallen asleep with if in a ball under her belly. Sound like anyone you know? * cough Luke cough *

We got Sadie this new ball. It lights up and sings and she can learn all kinds of neat things. The really cool part about this ball is it moves. It will roll around on it's own. This first video is of her chasing it. But the next video is of the ball chasing her. Seems only fair right?

Labor Day Slumber Party

Well this weekend was good and bad. Good in the fact that Rylie got to come over and stay the night. But bad because both Sadie and Rylie were sick. Saturday I had a little scare with Sadie because she had the highest temperature she'd ever had. Yes it was only 100.8 but still it was scary for me, especially since her normal temp is about 97.0. I gave her a cool bath and medicine and it dropped down to 99.8 which I felt better about. But her nose had started running on Friday when she was home with Steve and but yesterday it was disgusting!

Sunday morning brought a low temperature again of 99.3 and she was really cranky so we stayed home from Church to rest before Rylie came over. When Rylie got there it was like a switched had been turned on and Sadie was totally different. She didn't act like she was sick and just played and played. Until she noticed that Rylie was hanging out with me and then she got jealous. It was a pleasant evening all and all the both the girls had fun playing. Sadie fell asleep early so of course she woke up at 3am on Monday. After an hour and a bottle I finally got her back to sleep. Rylie woke up really early too, but she was a good girl and just played and watched cartoons.

After Rylie went home Sadie started getting more and more fussy. Her teeth were really hurting not to mention her poor nose was raw from all the wiping. She has always liked to play with my hair but yesterday it was the only thing that could calm her down was to hold onto my hair. She cried most of the day between chasing the dogs or trying to get under Steve's chair or into the kitchen. We have decided that Sadie walks like Mowgli on the Jungle Book, specifically when he is walking with the baby elephant. Oh and man is she getting fast!

Today Sadie is home with Steve. I just didn't want to send her to daycare. She doesn't have a temp but her nose is so bad that we've started just sucking it instead of wiping it. Gross I know but what can you do?

Here are some pictures and a couple of videos from this weekend. Enjoy!

Sadie & Rylie. Rylie is explaining how to do something, I'm assuming. It looks like it was an important disccusion at any rate.
Rylie loves to be outside so we went out to play for a little bit. She loved it when the dogs started playing fetch with Steve.
Rylie checking on Sadie. She was a good helper this weekend!
This was dinner right after Rylie got there. Sadie was so excited I think she wore most of her food. She just wants to get on the floor to play with Rylie.

Our little Mowgli.
Isn't she funny. Oh and I got a pedicure on Friday and she has been facinated by my toes ever since. So we are trying to teach her that those are toes. Hence my little speech.

So this video of Sadie walking to the bouncer and trying to hide under it. She is so funny!
